Frequently asked questions

What does a full property refurbishment include?

A full property refurbishment covers every trade required to take a property from its current condition to a fully finished, move-in ready state. This includes strip-out and clearance, structural works if required, full rewiring, replumbing, kitchen and bathroom installation, plastering, flooring, carpentry, and decoration — all coordinated and managed by a single point of contact.

How long does a full refurbishment take in London?

A flat refurbishment typically takes 6–14 weeks on site; a full house refurbishment 12–24 weeks. Projects with structural changes or period complications may run longer. We provide a firm timeline in your quote.

Do I need to vacate during the work?

For a full refurbishment involving rewiring, replumbing, or kitchen and bathroom strip-out, vacating is recommended. It allows work to proceed faster and at lower cost. We advise on this at the survey stage.

Do you work with landlords on void refurbishments?

Yes — void refurbishments are a core part of our work. We prioritise fast mobilisation and efficient sequencing so landlords can re-let as quickly as possible.

Can you manage a refurbishment if I’m based overseas?

Yes — we regularly work with overseas clients. We provide regular photo updates, video calls at key stages, and a single point of contact throughout. You do not need to be present on site at any point during the project.

Do I need planning permission?

Internal refurbishments — rewiring, replumbing, kitchens, bathrooms, and decoration — don’t typically require planning permission. Extensions, loft conversions, and structural changes may need building regulations approval. Listed buildings and conservation areas have additional requirements. We assess this at the survey.
