This family bathroom refurbishment involved the complete removal of the existing bathroom, including wall and floor tiles, bath, basin unit, shower enclosure, sanitaryware, floor coverings and electrical fittings.
The property was fully protected before works commenced, and all waste materials were removed and responsibly recycled. The project included repairs to walls and subfloor where required, upgrades to plumbing and electrical systems, installation of new drainage and water supplies, configuration of heated towel rail pipework, and first-fix electrical works for lighting and extraction.
A new shower area was constructed and waterproofed using moisture-resistant boarding and tanking systems before being finished with marble-effect wall and floor tiling. The bathroom was then fitted with a double vanity unit, twin basins and taps, bath with shower mixer, WC, walk-in shower enclosure with thermostatic controls, heated towel rail, mirrors, wall lights, extractor fan and recessed LED spotlights.
The room was completed with full decoration to ceilings, walls and woodwork, followed by final testing, commissioning and finishing to deliver a bright, elegant and highly functional family bathroom.
Budget: £18,800
